El Hallouf strategy
So I was playing a public game at El Hallouf with some platooning players, and they strategy we followed seemed foolproof. We did it starting from the South, and might work from the North as well.
But anyway, when the game is in encounter mode, we:
(1) ran a T34-86 directly next to the rock in the cap (you need a relatively small tank that can get in tight and be covered from arty.)
(2) The big heavies swung nearby to the left of the cap, parked behind rocks, and slightly up the hill just past the river and protected the cap tank from the left, and TDs parked on the upper hill close to the spawn protected the right side of the capped tank.
Basically, the capped tank couldn't be hit by arty, and for the other team to get a shot at the capped tank, they had to expose themselves to multiple guns firing from good cover. All the cap tank has to do is sit there and listen to the arty shells hit the rock and the ground around him. They're may be a good counter to this strategy, but it worked in this game I did easily. THe other team was just pinned down.
